Terms & Conditions

The terms governing your use of Talio Square as a buyer or seller.

Effective 13 July 2026. Operated by Talio Square (Pty) Ltd, Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa.

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of taliosquare.international. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. The Platform

Talio Square is a premium multi-vendor marketplace connecting verified sellers with buyers for physical goods, digital products, and professional services. We facilitate transactions but are not a party to the sale contract between buyer and seller.

3. Account Registration

  • Buyers may purchase as a guest without creating an account
  • Sellers must complete full KYC verification, including government-issued ID, selfie verification, and proof of address
  • Every seller application is personally reviewed before approval
  • You must be at least 18 years old to register as a seller

4. Seller Obligations

  • Provide accurate product descriptions, pricing, and availability
  • Fulfil and dispatch orders within the stated timeframe
  • Respond to buyer enquiries and disputes promptly
  • Maintain quality standards under our three-strike accountability system
  • Comply with all applicable South African consumer protection and tax laws

5. Commission and Fees

Talio Square charges a transparent commission of 7% on physical goods and 5% on digital products and services. There are no listing fees, subscription fees, or hidden charges. Commission is deducted automatically at the point of sale.

6. Escrow and Payments

Every transaction is protected by TradeSafe escrow, backed by Standard Bank, insured by Hollard, and audited by EY. Funds are held securely and released to the seller only once the buyer confirms delivery or the delivery window passes without dispute.

7. Disputes

Disputes must be raised within 5 business days of delivery confirmation. TradeSafe holds funds in escrow during investigation. Talio Square mediates and targets resolution within 48 hours. Full detail is available in our Refund Policy.

8. Three-Strike Accountability System

Talio Square operates a three-strike system to maintain marketplace quality. Strikes are issued for verified policy violations including counterfeit listings, failure to respond to disputes, or fraudulent activity. Three strikes result in store suspension, subject to formal review.

9. Prohibited Conduct

  • Listing counterfeit, stolen, or illegal goods
  • Circumventing escrow by arranging payment outside the platform
  • Providing false information during KYC verification
  • Harassment, fraud, or abuse directed at other users

10. Intellectual Property

All Talio Square branding, design, and platform code remains the property of Talio Square (Pty) Ltd. Sellers retain ownership of their own product content, images, and store branding.

11. Limitation of Liability

Talio Square facilitates transactions between independent buyers and sellers. While every seller is KYC-verified and every transaction is escrow-protected, Talio Square is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed by sellers.

12. Termination

Talio Square reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes not resolved through our internal process are subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

Material changes will be communicated via email and a platform notice at least 14 days before taking effect.
